Spotify export guide

How to export your followed artists from Spotify

Spotify can export your account data as a zip file. TrackMoose can read the YourLibrary.json file inside it and turn your followed artists into a better starting point for recommendations.

Export steps

  1. 01

    Open Spotify privacy settings

Go to spotify.com/us/account/privacy/ and sign in to the Spotify account you want to export.

  2. 02

    Request account data

Under Download your data, choose Account data and submit the request.

  3. 03

    Confirm the email

Spotify sends a confirmation email. Click Confirm so the export request actually starts.

  4. 04

    Wait for the zip

Spotify says the export can take up to 30 days. When it is ready, download and extract the zip file.

  5. 05

    Find YourLibrary.json

Inside the extracted Spotify data, find YourLibrary.json. TrackMoose reads artist names from that file.

  6. 06

    Upload it to TrackMoose

Open Favorite Artists in TrackMoose, use Bulk import, upload YourLibrary.json, then save the artist list.
